I felt so honored to have another local photographer ask me to bring a vision of hers to life. If you haven't already noticed I LOVE styled shoots. When Danell came to me with her idea of a styled mommy and me session I fell even deeper in love with her vision.
I love all the thought and detail that went into making their session personal and perfect. Some fun insight into this shoot:
The sash little Bella is wearing with her darling matching mommy and daughter blush tulle skirt originated from the dress Danell wore when she and her husband renewed their vows. The tea pot and tea cups are used daily at home for their mommy and daughter tea parties. The tea pot was a gift from England from Danell's parents when she was in college. The tea cups were a keepsake of Bella's grandmother. The cookies included are from Katy's Pantry, a local family bakery in Bella's favorite pink and purple colors. The plaid wool blanket used during the shoot was a keepsake they acquired from Scotland where they previously lived, where Bella was born. Bella's petite peony bouquet from Uptown Floral was a perfect addition to the style and softness of the shoot. Peonies have been a personal family favorite flower for five generations, also a personal favorite flower of mine! The water color painting was one of my favorite parts of this shoot. Danell and Bella water color paint almost daily. Bella is now able to get all the supplies out herself and it's a great way for both mommy and daughter to relax together and expand their creativity.
Little Pierce was such a trooper for the shoot! He played right along with his mommy and older sister. Danell is excited to learn and explore Pierce's interests and passions as he gets older, and continue to build family traditions.
