Q: When will we formulate the timeline of the wedding day?

After you have set your wedding date, booked your wedding photographer, and taken engagement photos you have a few months to breathe.  Wheww!

A smooth flow to your special day is key! Memorable weddings do not just happen. They take a bit of organization.  To ensure a smooth flow of beautifully captured memories of the day, a timeline of the wedding events will help guide your planning.

Two months before your wedding day we will sit down together to formulate a plan and discuss how your wedding day will unfold.  Key events include the Getting Ready of the Bride and Groom, Ceremony, Formal Group and Family Portraits, Wedding Party and Newlyweds, and last but not least the Reception!

I prefer to meet with couples two months before the wedding day to formulate this timeline because often times lighting is key to photography on a wedding day.  If your ceremony is late in the evening it may limit the daylight available for outside pictures if that is preferred.  It’s common for your other wedding vendors and your venue to finalize plans one month in advance. If we have already met and set a smooth timeline it makes it so much easier to pass along the timeline to your other vendors; saving you and the vendors time!

Remember. Your wedding day is unique and planning together ensures you do not miss a minute of this special time in your lives.
